About the studio

A small studio in Nairobi that cares whether your website earns its keep

Veune Cour was founded on a simple frustration: plenty of Kenyan businesses pay for a website and then wait for something to happen. The site looks fine. Nobody finds it. Nobody books through it. It becomes a digital business card nobody asked for.

What we actually do

Veune Cour designs and builds websites for service businesses and product brands in Kenya — clinics, salons, spas, gyms, consultants, furniture showrooms, retail and interiors. Everything is written by hand in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js and Python. No page builders, no themes, no plugin subscriptions quietly renewing in the background.

That matters for a practical reason. A hand-coded site loads fast on a phone using mobile data, which is how most of your customers will arrive. It also means nothing about your site is rented. The code is yours the day it launches.

But the build is only half of it. A website that nobody can find is just an expensive PDF. So every project includes the groundwork that makes you findable — page titles and descriptions written the way people actually search, business and location data structured so Google can read it, a sitemap, and alignment with your Google Business Profile. Then analytics, so you can see whether any of it is working instead of guessing.

We also build the parts that turn a visitor into money: booking and enquiry flows, WhatsApp and click-to-call buttons, M-Pesa payments, and an optional AI chat assistant that answers questions at eleven at night when you’re asleep.

How we’re different

Three things, and they’re all about removing risk for you. Our prices are published, so you never sit through a discovery call just to learn the number. Our portfolio is honestly labelled, so you can tell a paid client project from a concept build. And you own everything at the end, so hiring us is not a commitment to keep paying us.

Who we work with

Mostly owner-run businesses in Kenya between roughly two and twenty staff — the size where the owner is still the one answering the phone and can see straight away whether more bookings are coming in. We work across Nairobi and Kenya, and remotely with clients elsewhere.

What we build

A website is one part of it. Getting found, getting booked and getting paid are the rest — so those are built in from the start, not sold to you later.

How we work

Four clear steps, roughly two weeks, no mystery about where your project stands at any point.

  1. Discovery

    1–2 days

We start with a short call or written brief — your business, your audience, what “success” looks like for the site. No jargon, just clear questions.

  2. Design

    3–5 days

You’ll see a visual direction before a single line of code is written — colors, layout, tone — so there are no surprises later.

  3. Build

    5–10 days

The site comes to life — responsive, fast, and tested across devices. Timeline depends on scope.

  4. Launch & Handover

    1 day

Your site goes live, and you get a short walkthrough of how to manage it going forward.

  5. Ongoing Support

    Optional

Light monthly maintenance for clients who want updates without lifting a finger.
